Food & Drink photographers in the South East of England – photography that’s simply stunning and technically precise. Short for ‘Marie-Louise’, Malou’s passion for photography began in childhood when her father presented her with her first camera. Whilst living in Tokyo on completion of her fashion degree, Malou met an Australian chef (now her husband), who introduced her to some celebrity chefs … and she hasn’t looked back.  After living and working in Tokyo, Cape Town and Melbourne, Malou moved back to London in 2004. Home is now on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border, and downtime includes country walks with her husband, their two children, and their Cockapoo, Sooty.  Working with global and national food brands, Malou also works with restaurants and world-renowned chefs. Her inherent professionalism allows Malou to uphold many long-standing client relationships. – seven years ago I made the best decision of my life – to turn my lifelong passion for photography into a full-time career. I now spend my entire working life as a professional photographer, doing something that I love and am proud of. Photography – I love it with a passion! There is something about it – the kit, the technology, controlling light, creating mood, looking for strong composition and dynamic shapes in my images. How would I describe myself, well I am a technical photographer. I’m absorbed with knowing my camera inside out and use it instinctively. I understand the limitations of the technology and this helps me to create the perfect image where others would struggle. The expertise that I have gained over the years helps me to tutor others. This experience helps me to explain technical aspects in a way that is easily understood. How would I describe my style? Three words: Bold, Vibrant and Dynamic.
